To start with Safer as a priority, this blog introduces the rationale. In short, unlike previous generations, today’s parents and kids are vulnerable from all sides. Online threats can ruin one’s reputation, bank account, and more. Physical threats include being misidentified by facial recognition, SWATting, and more. The Safer blog category on this web site is designed to help parents and kids achieve 360 degree safety from all threats.

What are the Top Aspects to Explore?

There are some top safety aspects to explore.

1. Cybersafety and Cybersecurity

At no other time in history has there been so many ways for parents and kids to lose their assets, their reputation, and, possibly due to cyberbullying, their sanity online. These are very diverse set of needs. And, the solutions can be arcane at times and so need clarification for most of us to decide among the options.

2. Home Safety

Home is where most people spend a majority of their time. Naturally, safety in the home encompasses both external (for example home breaking) and internal (for example fires) concerns. However, privacy and protection against hacking are also a key concern.

3. Dorm and Travel Safety

Most of us are more vulnerable in properties that we do not control such as dorms and hotels. As a result, this is a key safety area for worried parents and (often) carefree students. Safety needs to be easily applied and removed at need.

4. Festival Safety

Many of us are fans of music festivals and other events that involve camping and large crowds of people. There are ways to minimize risk even in these kinds of environments. And, these can also increase the fun factor in these environments.

Conclusion

To be safer, parents and kids today must have 360 degree protection against threats of all kinds. This blog series will focus on these safety issues across cybersafety / cybersecurity, home safety, dorm and travel safety, and festival safety. It will feature informative content and suggest helpful products and services. Stay tuned for more!
